Landscape Design Services:

I specialize in creating California Native, low-water, Mediterranean style landscapes designed with sustainability and beauty in mind here in San Diego, Ca. With two university degrees and 10 years of experience in horticulture and landscape design, I have the plant expertise and design skills to create ecologically sensitive gardens that are distinctive and beautiful.  My skills include conceptual design, hardscape layout, planting plans, irrigation design, installation management and horticultural consultation.  I do not do installation.

Horticultural Consultation Services:

Organic Landscape Management:

 I have expertise in managing residential and commercial landscapes organically.  I can consult on converting conventional landscapes to organic, and chemical free management practices. 

Organic Culinary and Rose Gardens:

I have vast experience planting and maintaining organic heirloom herb and vegetable gardens. I am an expert in rose pruning and have a cutting garden with antique roses and flowers in my own yard.  I have given numerous workshops on rose pruning and vegetable gardening at local area nurseries.  I love to share my knowledge and experience, and have been growing a large portion of my family's produce organically in my own home garden for seven years now.

Education:

Bachelor's of Science in Horticulture, Cornell University, 1997

Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture, California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, 2004

Rates and Fees:

I do landscape plans on a contract basis and consult by the hour.  I charge $150 for the first hour of consultation time and $100 for any subsequent hours thereafter.  Complete sets of landscape plans are drawn on a contract basis and range between $1200 to $2100 and up depending on the size of the property and the degree of detail development.

Location:

I mainly work in San Diego, California, but will travel to Southern Orange and Riverside Counties on a job by job basis.
